NMSI Zambia is now active on 12 Mini Hospital (MH) sites with a further 2 sites having commenced in the Western Region during February 2019. Additionally, the Bauleni Mini Hospital site in Lusaka was also confirmed last month, with initial site works now underway.
The first Mini Hospital site in Tubalange, is receiving its final architectural finishes before being handed over on 11th March to the Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance and Training (ICM&T) Team for the medical equipment fit out and staff training. The Tubalange Mini Hospital to go live in early April, closely followed by Nakachenje Mini Hospital in the third week of April and Mondengwa Mini Hospital by the first week in May.
The completion and handover of the first three Mini Hospitals in Lusaka Province will set a roll out schedule thereafter of one completed facility every 2 weeks. The quality of the finishing in these facilities is extremely high with positive feedback from all stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health and District Officials.
