The NMSI team has had a year it can be proud of, matching and exceeding expectations. 50 sites have been handed over to the Ministry of Health in 2021; at the start of the year, the team aimed for 4 handovers per month and have managed to achieve an average of 4.2 per month.

Mini Hospitals:
- Phase I: 20 Mini Hospitals is 100% complete.
- 9 of the Phase I Mini Hospitals have completed their 12-month defects liability period.
- Phase II: 49 have been handed over. A balance of 27 which are complete are pending electrification and water supply. 24 sites are currently at various stages of construction.
- ICMT equipment and training has been carried out on a total of 67 sites.
District Hospitals:
- Construction work on Mfuwe site is at 40%
- Nchelenge: 15%
- Kazembe: 5%
- Kitwe: 2%
- Ndola: To start in January 2022
