An ITN Productions Industry News filming crew visited Nakachenje Mini Hospital site in Lusaka on 4th November 2021 on behalf of UK Export Finance and BExA to promote the value of British Exports in Africa.

The film crew captured the fully-functioning Mini Hospital built by NMS and interviewed local people to discuss how they have benefitted from the new facility, with a focus on pre-natal and post-natal care.

Interviews with doctors and nurses were conducted to highlight how the state-of-the-art equipment was being deployed to overcome the previous challenges that the community faced in obtaining high-quality healthcare. These interviews also looked at how hospital staff are working to maintain valuable community connections.

Iain Maclean (Construction Manager), Alistair Johnson (Business Development Manager) and Chisha Kamoto (Project Support Assistant) were also interviewed on behalf of NMS, discussing the impacts that the facility has had on the local area financially. This works in conjunction with studio interviews recorded with Nick Oliver, Head of Business Development, and Ed Harkins, Head of Export Credit Financing at GKB Ventures.

A gift was presented by Iain Maclean and Chisha Kamoto on behalf of NMS to expectant mothers who attended the hospital, as well as those who have already given birth.
